Each day, everyone in the world is given the same formation and the same pool of teams to draft from, with a single attempt. It is a level playing field, so you can compare your result against everyone else on that day's leaderboard.
When you win the World Cup you can add a display name to the global leaderboard. Players are ranked first by perfect 8-0-0s in Expert mode, then by perfect 8-0-0s, then by Expert-mode wins, then by total cups won. You can tap any player to see the exact team that got them there.
No. There is no sign-up and no login. The only thing the game ever stores about you is an optional display name, and only if you choose to add yourself to the public leaderboard after a win.
Results are driven by your squad's overall rating, so stronger teams win more often and keep more clean sheets. But knockout games that end level go to a penalty shootout, where anyone can win, so there is always an element of real-world unpredictability.
